A new odyssey for Odyssey Art Photography

One of the toughest design tasks to do is improve upon something while still staying true to that thing.

Odyssey Art Photography is a business with three things at its core: God, the perfection of nature, and journeys. The client’s request was a logo that would keep to their preference for softer forms, but still, pay homage to their core values and original design.

I kept important elements first: the hidden cross symbolizing both God and life journeys, the Fibonacci spiral representing the perfection of nature, and the softness of script.
In order to translate their design to a modern audience, I relied upon clean geometry and mono-weight forms.

The result was a clean new logo which satisfied the client’s desire for modernity meshed with their values and vision.
